What's Measured

Ball Data:

  1. Ball Speed: Velocity at which the ball is traveling when it leaves the club face after impact.
  2. Side Spin: Horizontal spin measurement affecting the ball's movement left or right in flight.
  3. Back Spin: Amount of spin on the golf ball immediately after impact, measured in RPM, which influences height, distance, and control.
  4. Side Angle: Angle at which the ball starts its flight relative to a straight target line (Horizontal launch angle).
  5. Side Total: Deviation left or right of the target during the ball’s flight.
  6. Launch Angle: The initial vertical angle at which the golf ball is launched post-impact (relative to the ground).
  7. Angle of Descent: The descent angle of the ball after reaching its peak trajectory.
  8. Flight Time: The total amount of time the golf ball is in the air.
  9. Spin Axis: The tilt angle of the ball's rotational axis, which determines the curvature of the ball’s flight. Positive values indicate rightward curves, while negative values indicate leftward curves.
  10. Distance to Apex: Distance covered by the ball until it reaches the highest point of its trajectory.
  11. Apex: The peak height of the ball's trajectory.
  12. Ball Flight Type: Description of the ball's initial start direction and overall shot shape.
  13. Carry Distance: The total distance the ball traveled while airborne.
  14. Run: Distance the ball travels after making contact with the ground.
  15. Total Distance: The total distance the ball covers, including both carry and run.

Club Data:

  1. Club Speed: The speed of the club head at the moment of impact with the ball.
  2. Smash Factor: A measure of impact efficiency, calculated by dividing ball speed by club speed. A higher smash factor indicates more efficient energy transfer, resulting in greater distance and accuracy.
  3. Face to Path: The angular difference between the clubface angle and the club path at impact.
  4. Attack Angle: Describes whether the clubhead is descending (negative angle) or ascending (positive angle) into the ball at impact.
  5. Club Path: The direction (in-to-out or out-to-in) in which the club head is moving at impact, relative to the target line.
  6. Face Angle: The angular direction of the clubface at impact relative to the target line.
  7. Dynamic Loft: The effective loft angle of the golf club at impact, influencing launch angle, trajectory, and overall shot performance.
  8. Club Lie Angle: The angle between the club shaft and the ground during address. It affects the direction of the clubface at impact.
  9. Impact Point (Vertical, Horizontal): The precise location on the clubface where the ball makes contact. This significantly influences ball trajectory, spin, and overall shot performance, with off-center impacts causing less desirable outcomes.
